5 simple lifestyle changes bringing big difference for fertility

Conception is a difficult process. Simple lifestyle changes can make much difference to help improve one’s fertility, quality of life and also overall well-being.

1. Exercising Regularly

Apart from risk factors associated with being overweight such as heart disease or diabetes, having excess weight does play a major influence on fertility levels.

Women who are indeed overweight can also experience hormonal imbalances, and an overproduction of certain hormones can also disrupt the menstrual cycle as well as ovulation. In the case of men being overweight can indeed lead to decreased sperm production.

One can go in for thirty minutes of gentle exercise 4-5 times a week that indeed does make a big difference in conceiving. One can go in for long walks with one’s partner or even a quick cycle around the local park. Bing an active gym-goer, then one needs to ensure that one does not go in for too much of work out.

2. Relax

Take a deep breath and also relax. Usually, couples are under a lot of mental pressure while trying to try to conceive. Stress can indeed affect the hypothalamus, the part of one’s brain that controls the hormones that are required to release eggs.

If one is feeling stressed or anxious, ovulation can also occur later or not at all (anovulation), and this will also interfere with once chances of conceiving. In order to feel more relaxed, one can try out yoga or meditation classes. These ancient forms of exercise do encourage deep, rhythmic breathing that increases the flow of blood and oxygen in one’s body and will also help boost one’s mental well-being.

3. Eat Healthily

A healthy diet does play a major factor in boosting fertility levels and also prepare one for pregnancy. Optimum fertility does begin with the nutrients that are put into one’s body. There are specific fertility ‘superfoods’ that can indeed have a positive impact on the health of eggs and sperm.

Folic acid is essential. This common B9 vitamin is of course naturally found in lentils; dried beans and peas; dark green vegetables such as broccoli or spinach.

Mothers-to-be are not the people who need to be eating leafy greens, males also need to take care of their diet. Men can rather improve the quality of their sperm as well as fertility by increasing their intake of folic acid.

It is also rather beneficial for both men and women to cut back on excessive alcohol consumption. Drinking larger amounts of alcohol can indeed affect the function of one’s liver, which does control the hormonal functions that are indeed crucial for normal ovulation as well as sperm growth.

4. Avoid Cigarette

Smoking can affect fertility negatively apart from other organs in one’s body.

Whether one is male or female, smoking can indeed impair fertility and harm one’s chances of conception. For women, cigarette toxins can rather interfere with cells in the ovary, thus causing a woman’s eggs to be more prone to genetic abnormalities. In men, smoking can indeed affect sperm count, sperm mobility can also result in abnormally shaped sperm.

One’s body does begin to repair itself as soon as one quits smoking. One can improve one’s health in multiple ways.

5. Know Your Fertility Cycle

One needs to understand the female fertility cycle to improve one’s chances of conceiving. Couples need to plan to have regular sex which is usually the day of ovulation and four or five days earlier.

Ovulation can also vary and if were rather unsure about when can ovulate thus trying to make use of ovulatory predictor kit.
