For female fertility: Time taken to get pregnant?

For female fertility: Time taken to get pregnant?

Female fertility is an issue of much concern to a woman who is keen on having a child. Female fertility in Hyderabad interests many researchers as they would like to know the seriousness of the health issue.

For a few people, getting pregnant can indeed take longer than expected. For others, pregnancy does happen with one mistake in birth control. Issues of female fertility are important in this context as well.

It is important to take care of one when trying to conceive. Adopting a healthy lifestyle and also avoiding alcohol, smoking, as well as recreational drugs. The woman can take a daily prenatal vitamin.

The timing of pregnancy for one couple can indeed be very different from the timing for another couple. One’s likelihood of conceiving much depends on a few factors, including one’s:

  • Aage
  • Health
  • Family cum personal medical history

Of course, how often the woman has sex also plays an important role. Naturally, even female fertility in Hyderabad would be of interest from this perspective.

Most couples are indeed able to get pregnant within six months to a year. If a person is unable to conceive after a full year of trying, it is a good idea to consult a fertility specialist.

At times when there is an obvious cause of infertility, like a physical problem with the ovaries, uterus, or perhaps testicles. In other cases, the cause is unknown.

How long does it take to get pregnant?

Women indeed do have the best odds of getting pregnant in their 20s, as that is when a person has the largest number of healthy eggs.

Fertility naturally does decline with age. The older a person is, the longer it might take a person to conceive.

Women are rather born with all the eggs they tend to ever have. As she gets older, the egg supply diminishes. And the ones that do remain are not healthy.

By age 35, the woman has less chance of getting pregnant within any given three-month period. By age 40, that number does drop. Fertility does decline with age. An older man’s sperm can have genetic abnormalities.

When should a person see a doctor about infertility?

  • If a person is 35 or younger and she has been trying to get pregnant for a year
  • If she is over age 35 and has been trying for more than 6 months

If known that the person has a health condition then one’s fertility can get affected and thus better to consult the doctor.

Causes of female infertility

Female infertility does happen to be a factor for about one-third of couples who do happen to be trying to conceive.

The most common cause does happen to be a problem with ovulation. If the person does not ovulate, the person will not release an egg to be fertilized.

Ovulation problems can be due to:

  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
  • Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI)

Blocked fallopian tubes tend to prevent the egg from meeting the sperm. Possible causes of a blockage do include:

  • Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
  • Endometriosis
  • Surgery for an ectopic pregnancy

A problem with the woman’s uterus can also make it harder to get pregnant. This can be due to an abnormal structure, or due to growths such as fibroids.

Causes of male infertility include:

  • enlarged veins on the testicles are referred to as varicocele
  • abnormally shaped sperm
  • heavy drinking, smoking, or perhaps drug use
  • injury to the testes that do reduce sperm production
  • chemotherapy or radiation meant to treat cancer
  • problems with the glands that sort of produce the hormones required to make sperm
  • more rarely, genetic disorders like Klinefelter syndrome

Unexplained infertility

In several couples, the cause of infertility is unexplained. It may be caused by problems with egg or sperm quality or a physical issue, but the doctor has not been able to diagnose a clear reason.

Not knowing the cause can rather be frustrating for couples. Yet in vitro fertilization (IVF) and other fertility methods can rather help a woman get pregnant.
