Take a leap from IUI to IVF

Take a leap from IUI to IVF

Infertility can be treated with professional expertise. Childless couples can opt for IVF or IUI treatment processes to resolve their health issues. IUI or IVF can be sought for.

Infertility is indeed a health issue that disturbs the childless couples a lot and they would, therefore, like to get proper treatment for it. IVF treatment in Hyderabad is geared towards the well-being of the childless couples. One can go in for IVF treatment or even for IUI and the affected couple requires necessary information about these treatment processes.

Take a leap from IUI to IVF

IUI  v/s  IVF:

IUI happens to be a simple process which does involve the insertion of sperm sample directly into the uterus through the cervix with the help of catheter at the time of ovulation. But before the insertion, the sperm has to be indeed washed as well as separated to exclude any infection or complexities. This treatment is rather opted for when there is a problem of sperm count or perhaps decreased sperm motility.

IVF is also a medical process in which sperm are placed with unfertilized eggs in a Petri dish and here the fertilization does take place. And after that, the embryo is of course placed in the uterus to begin the pregnancy. The advantage here is no doubt that the embryo can be frozen for future use.

The IVF treatment in Hyderabad does offer good solutions to childless couples.

What about the IUI v/s IVF success rate?

IUI also is a successful procedure but some complications and unwanted outcomes are involved. In the case of IUI, there is a risk of multiple pregnancies. As this procedure does involve the administration of medicines to regulate ovulation hence the possibility of pregnancy of higher-order multiples is considerably high. IUI has also a lot of risk factors which are variables and also subjected to changes from person to person. But the normal success rate of the given IUI treatment is somewhere between 8% to 15% for a patient above 35 years and 2% to 5% for patients above 40. As compared to this, the IVF has a better success rate. But this does not imply that a patient should think that IUI will turn out to be a failure. Doctors often advise IUI as the first option and in case of failure, they suggest IVF.

IUI v/s IVF cost

One of the most important differences in both these treatments is the financial side. How cost-effective are they? There is no doubt that a much simpler procedure such as that of IUI which is much less expensive and is highly opted for as compared to IVF. But IVF is indeed more helpful with regard to IUI in such cases. Moreover, it is easier to control the repercussions of the procedure.

It is obvious that childless couples can now hope to become parents as they have the choice to choose either the IUI or IVF treatment to have a child. The options are good and they can weigh the pros and cons of these treatment processes. No doubt both are good options and have their merit points. The doctor can be consulted and accordingly the affected couple can make the choice. The IVF treatment in Hyderabad entails such choices.
